The aim of this course is to support you to have an empowering birth experience for you and your family.
A birth experience is not an one-off life event - it has an ongoing impact on you and your family.
If you have an empowering birth experience, that experience helps you confidently make your choice in your parenting journey too - actually, birth is the start of a long journey of constantly making choices as a parent.
Whether you choose a home birth, birth with epidural or Caesarean, you CAN feel EMPOWERED by the experience.
How is it different from a NHS Antenatal Class?
You will learn about YOU in this course as well as useful knowledge about birth because each birth is different and unique.

Who is running the course?
Tomoko is a local birth & postnatal doula based near Aberaeron. She herself has experienced both home birth and waterbirth and she has supported mothers/parents from homebirth, birth at Midwifery-led unit to Caesarean. She loves empowering mothers/parents to make their own choice confidently in their journey of birth and beyond.
Where?
I will travel to YOU and offer my Birth Preparation Course just for you (and your partner).
When?
A course will be arranged on request (usually 26-37 weeks pregnant at the timing of attending the course.)
To arrange, contact me ASAP.
It will be 3 x 3 hours sessions.
They can be arranged as you wish (e.g. 3 weekday evenings over a month, 3 weekends etc.)
How much?
£200 for 3 weeks course per couple
Payment by instalment is available.
There will be my travel costs to be reimbursed. (50
p/mile)
If finance is a barrier,
I am happy to consider alternative payment arrangements, such as work/skills/farm produce exchange or instalment plans. Let's discuss what works best for you.
